Our customers appreciate our excellent products, but more especially, it is the support and service that we can provide that attracts them to us for repeat business. The founders are computer engineers and understand the necessity of getting it correct the first time, both with the products and with the services that we provide.

With advice guidance and our knowledge, helpful and friendly consultants will always be available for advice and guidance. Whatever your requirements, discuss them with us first to ensure that the optimum solution can be proposed.

Consultancy:

For the more involved project, it may be necessary to involve experts to take the responsibility for co-ordinating the whole thing or to provide in-depth technical advice and support in certain areas. BlueChip can supply personnel to meet almost all requirements.

Installation Planning:

From ensuring that there is a power socket where you need it to computer room design, BlueChip will ensure that your systems will meet your needs and be supporting your business in the shortest time possible. No last minute delays, no missing cables, no silly mistakes, you can trust BlueChip.

Software Selection:

At the end of the day, computers and computer networks are merely the vehicle for the software that provides the facilities that enable your business to function efficiently. Whether this be Word Processing, Order Processing, Stock Control, Time Management, Computer Aided Design, or any other, choosing the appropriate software is imperative.

Software Development:

Occasionally, standard software packages will not meet your requirements, because, after all, every organisation is unique. If a solution needs to be developed for you, then BlueChip will introduce a trusted organisation that will work with us all in partnership.

Network Design:

Where computers are best connected together, the network could have considerable impact on the overall performance and acceptability of the installation. Getting the design correct first time has to be a most important aspect.

Ethernet, Token-Ring, FDDI, interconnections, bridges, routers, hubs, modems, terminal emulation ..... it's a minefield of terminology and potential disaster. Let BlueChip handle this for you, we are experts.

Custom System Configuration:

BlueChip does not limit you to a standard configuration. To exactly meet your needs all our systems are tailor made for you. Nothing extra, nothing missing; just whatever is required so that your costs are directed precisely at your requirements.

System Set Up and Testing:

Having built your system, whether it be a single computer or a network, we test it. Our vigorous testing and quality control procedures ensure that only working configurations leave our premises. You are also invited to see your systems working before we deliver, to give you the confidence that all will be plain sailing with BlueChip.

Software:

Installation can be time consuming, and not all software products work together as simply as we would like. Therefore we can install all your software and configure it appropriately for your situation. This will minimise the time and disruption caused during installation. Network and Cabling Installation Cables, plugs and sockets, hubs, etc. are components necessary to connect computers together in a network. Power outlets are required for computers and peripherals such as printers. Largely passive once installed, although perhaps with the inbuilt flexibility for future change, these items are often then forgotten.

The disruption caused during installation should be minimised, and the finished product should be neat and tidy. Let BlueChip take away this burden. System Delivery and Installation Of course we deliver our systems, unless you wish to pick them up. BlueChip offers far more than that, we will, if required, unpack the systems at your premises, install them in the correct location, connect all cables and ensure that each computer is up and running before we leave.

Computer software today is very feature-rich (complex). No one organisation ever uses the whole capability of many of the standard packages such as Word Processing or Spreadsheets. Identifying those facilities that you need, and making use of them, will maximise the productivity of your computer system. Understanding the sensible and appropriate security and backup procedures will provide confidence that your computer system will continue to support your business. Becoming proficient quickly may recover all equipment and other associated costs many times over.

Training:

The key to proficiency, efficiency and confidence. Let BlueChip organise all your training needs, our friendly and experienced trainers will bring you up to speed as soon as possible. Many parts of the country benefit from government grant assistance towards training costs, administered through the local Training and Enterprise Council. We can introduce you to specialists who can help you understand the rules and procedures to obtain these grants.

Comprehensive Warranty:

Despite our best endeavours, machines do, occasionally, breakdown. Our comprehensive, no quibble warranty will replace any defective items and cover labour costs for a minimum of 12 months, for systems returned to our workshops. On-site Maintenance When your business depends upon your computer system being available, or if the disruption would be disproportionate should a breakdown occur, then on- site maintenance should be considered. A range of maintenance options are available, provided by our team of engineers throughout the country. Hotline Support Most computer related problems can be resolved by a telephone conversation with a knowledgeable engineer.

BlueChip operates a hotline help desk, during normal office hours, to provide the help that many customers need from time to time. Upgrades and Enhancements Having invested in a new computer system, software and training, and possibly a maintenance option, you can be assured that your BlueChip systems can grow and change with your business. Whether it is adding new computers to the network, improving network performance, adding more disk, more memory, faster processors, whatever your needs, your BlueChip computers can deliver. Acknowledged Standards CE , BS5750 British Standard 5750 is becoming an accepted indication that a supplier understands his business and has documented procedures that are adhered to rigorously. Many customersare expected to demand BS5750 certification of their prospective suppliers. BlueChip is currently working towards accreditation.
